wow, sydney…

after our sad goodbye in perth we arrived in melbourne and stayed there for 2 days. we made a very cool pub tour, just for 5 bugs and the first drink was free in all four pubs. we also met anna-lena again, who started her travelling a month before us. she was with her friend freddie from school. the next day we brought our big luggage to kath, where we will stay, when we’re back in melbourne. in the afternoon we met anna-lena and freddie again and we went to aldi:D!!!

after those two days we went to canberra, the capital of australia. we just stayed there for one day, to see the parliament houses and all the embassies.

now, we are in sydney, yyyeeehhhaaaaa. we arrived here yesterday and luckily we are able to stay at a friend’s house. today we went on a very , very big day walking tour through the city. we saw the opera house, the harbour bridge, chinatown and loads more… now we are really exhausted and looking forward to sleep, but we are also over the moon because we’ve seen all these things.

on thursday we’re going to do a day trip to the blue mountains, i, or we hope, it will be a lot of fun and we’ll have very nice weather, because it’s quiet cloudy here. but we don’t mind.

bye bye perth

hey everybody
now my time here in perth is over! tomorrow i´m leaving perth and the family to go to Melbourne, where our ( karo´s, anne´s and mine) travel will start.
but the last few weeks here were as great as the whole six month.
I had the chance to go jetskiing, which was a lot of fun and where i saw some pinguins and sealions=). but unfortunately i didn´t have a bag with me, so i couldn´t take one with me…
and last monday we were finally able to jump in the pool =) and i nearely spend the whole week in it. and so the leaving/ pool party could start. the boys, the girls and i really had a lot of fun!!! we also jumped in the pool for a little view at the stars at night.
yesterday was Australia Day the their national day, but actually it was celebrated on saturday. we went to see the big firework above the skyline, which was just amazing. as you can see in our pictures, we were completely prepared for this event. at the place we went, we actually were the only ons who looked like big patriots=D. but we don´t mind, because we had a really good time.
so we are all fine, but sad as well, because we all got very good friends and had a really good time in perth and especialy with our families!!!
in fact we all are sad to leave, but we´re looking foward to see us again. and we also have our travel to look forward. i have to say, that even when i´m sad, i´m also very excited. we will go to from melbourne with the greyhound bus to cairns. we also already have planed to be in canberra by the 2nd of feb and to be in sydney by the 4th.
tomorrow will be the great goodbye to the family and to perth
i hope i´ll find the time to write you about our travel soon.

Ka-Li´s in Perth

hey mates
i hope u all had a very nice start in the new year 2008 and certainly a nice christmas and a lot of presents:D
i had a nice christmas with the other girls and the middleweek family. but it was very hot ( 44°c), but a nice aircon and a jump in the pool made it very comfortable:D
my new year´s eve was a very nice evening as well. first me and the girls stayed at my house for the party my hostparents made and later, at about 11 pm, we made our way to northbridge for the real party. but unfortunately, the australians ( or perth) don´t celebrate new year´s eve so much like we do in germany. because the club we went to shut down the musik at 2am. but anyway, we had a lot of fun, a nice dance and night though. so it´s nothing i regret=)
after all this partying, anne marie came to perth on the 4th of january. we met each other for our kamp- lintfort revival in perth and went to the scarborough beach. but unfortunately she just found a job in kalbarri, which is about 6 hours driving up north, so she had to leave again on wednesday the 9th. but we will see us again, i hope and think, when i´m in melbourne and certainly stay in touch.
now i hope you are all fine. we will see us all very soon again

Merry Christmas!!

I will celebrate christmas with the family and my friends here in perth and I´ll try to send you some of our temperature, because it is too hot here and you don´t have to freeze=). But actually I´m wishing all of you a very nice white christmas!!!!! I would like it=)!!

hello again

Now, after long time no writing in my blog, it’s definitely time for me to write again.
While these four weeks, i met my new familiy, had my last few weeks with te Crough family, moved into the new family’s house on wednesday the 8th and went on my four day holiday trip to Monkey Mia and the northern Outback.
The last weeks at the Crough family was very nice and a lot of fun, as the whole time I have spend there:). The good thing is I’m still able to visit them and I’m sure I’ll be there for a visit very soon:).
Then I went to the other family on novembre the 8th , but unfotunately I went on my trip the next morning. Now I’ve spend a whole week here and I must say that the new family is as nice as the other one. Their Familyname is Middleweek and they have two boys, called Sebastian (6) and Cameron (4).
They are very nice and cute. The parents, James and Emma, are nice and friendly as well.
The trip was great, too. I went on the trip with Karo and Anne and we had a lot of fun. But of course, we also saw a lot of beautiful landscapes, which were changing very quick and very, beautiful beaches and very hungry dolphins, which were swimming just half a metre in front of me. Sooooo cooool, because we had to wait about 1 ½ hour to see them. We nearly thought we woudn’t see them, which would be very bad, because it’s th main attraction of our trip. The reason for that is the Daylight Saving.
We even left Austrlia and visited another country called „ Hutt River Province“ and met Prince Leonard, who was a normal farmer and who didn’t wanted to do what the Government of Australia wanted to do: produce less on his farm. So he made his farm his own country. It just sounds so simple.
So it was a very cool and great trip, even when we had to sit  in the coach very long each day.

Hey everybody,

this is just a short post, so you all know what´s happening here and with me.

Last sunday my Homestay- Mother told me, that i have to leave the family and go to another one, because they need my room. They need my room for her sister, who is working with the aboriginies and coming home earlier for some good reasons. Unfortunately for me, her home is right here, where i´m living. They also told me that they were thinking about other ways, how i could stay in this family, but unfortunately there´s no other possibility.

so now ann, my contact here in perth, is looking for a new family for me and she also found one. I will meet this family on friday afternoon and then i will see if i can go there or not.

I will be in another family in the middle of novembre and i will write more if i know more about my new home. And if someone wanted to write me a letter, please just wait untill you have my new address.

I will write again soon

G´day everybody

It´s time again, to write, what´s going on here in Australia.
Some maybe are wondering, why i´m writing in englisch but i have a very good reason. Yesterday i talked to my auntie Cecille and she told me, that my aunts, uncles and cousins from the Philippines are visiting this site, too. And until now they didn´t understand anything. So since today i will try to write allways in englisch or more often, if it is ok =).
I´m still fine here and i already became a littlebit brown, because last week i went 3x to a very nice and famous beach, called Scaborough Beach but i didn´t went swimming, because i think it is still to cold for me.
So our weather is getting better and better and hotter and hotter.
I also visited the Bell Tower of Perth, which is very beautiful, but small. It has 18 bells and we were able to ring one of the bells and in the end we got a Swan Bell ringing Certificate. Ohhhh yyeeeaahh, soo cool .
The last view weeks were very chilly, like everytime=) and last week spring holidays startet for 2 weeks.
Ok that´s it for today and for me it´s time to make my dinner

mir gehts immernoch gut=)

hier ist in den letzten 2 Wochen mal wieder einiges passiert.

Zum einen, muss ich nicht mehr zur Schule gehen, was echt super ist, da die sehr langweilig ist und ich niche mehr so früh aufstehn muss. Hab jetzt also viiiel Zeit, die ich auch gut nutze, z. B. mit arbeiten, schlafen und Mädels irgendwo treffen und bummeln oda shoppen gehen. Mmmhh, ja mein Leben ist im Moment recht chillig=).

Das Leben in der Familie ist auch noch sehr gut=). Im Moment sind sie alle im Footy- Fieber ( Australian Rules Football, eine Mischung aus Rugby und American Football ungefähr. Dauert zu lang, das im Detail zu erklären), was bedeutet, das die Familie am Wochenende gespannt Footy zusammen guckt. Muss auch immer nen Tipp abgeben, aber war bis jetzt immer falsch:)

An den letzten 2 Wochenenden habe ich auch mal das australische Nachtleben erkundet=). Viel zu kurz hier. Aber trotzdem nicht schlecht. Eigentlich gibt es keine richtigen Discos hier, die sind immer eine Mischung aus Disco und Kneipe mit Liveband. Was bedeutet, dass in fast allen immer eine Band spielt, die sich mit anderer Musik abwechselt. Die Band sind auch echt gut muss ich sagen. Und was man hier richtig gut machen kann, ist ne Kneipen-/ Disco-Tour, da alles in dem Viertel Northbridge stattfindet und man eigentlich nirgendwo Eintritt zahlen muss. Es ist also immer was los. Nur leider endet die Nacht hier schon sehr früh, da der letzte Zug schon um 2 Uhr fährt. Ihr denkt jetzt wahrscheinlich, warum wir nicht einfach den ersten am nächsten Morgen nehmen =), oder? Das liegt daran, dass auch viele Kneipen schon um 2 Uhr rum schließen und der erste Zug am Sonntag erst um halb 8 kommt. Aber wir haben trotzdem Spass und vorallem ist der letzte Zug nicht leer und beängstigend, sondern eher ein Partyzug mit vielen betrunkenen Leuten=).

Letzten Samstag hatten wir nur ein wenig Pech, da unser Taxi nicht wie bestellt zum Bahnhof kam und Karo und ich dann um 3 Uhr ca. 45 min nach Hause laufen mussten. Das war schon etwas beängstigend=), aber wir haben es überstanden. Also dem Taxiunternehmen kann man hier nicht so sehr trauen.

wird mal wieder zeit was zu erzählen=)

mmhh, eigentlich weiß ich garnicht was ich schreiben soll, weil ich grad voll unkreativ bin. Aber sind ja auch schon wieder zwie Wochen vergangen, seit dem ich was geschrieben hatte.
Also… mir gehts auf jeden Fall immer noch gut hier und es sind auch immer noch alle super nett=).
Wollten eigentlich letzte Woche in den Wildlife Park, aber es hat ja mal wieder geregnet und dann sind wir, Mareike, Karo und ich, einfach mal shoppen gegangen=). Waren in einem Outlet in Perth, in dem wir sehr erfolgreich waren=). Hab mir ne tolle Jeans gekauft=), wie die anderen. Aber ich brauchte auch eine, da meine alte ja immer wieder aufging ( manche erinnern sich vielleicht=) ). War also ein guter Ersatz für den Wildlife Park. Aber leider habe ich immer noch nicht richtig Kängurus gesehen. Nur einmal kurz, als wir mit dem Bus nach der Schule nach Haus gefahren sind. Die sind nämlcih öfters auf dem Golfplatz, an dem wir jeden Tag vorbei fahren. Aber jetzt wird das Wetter ja auch besser, denn der Frühling ist ja im Anmarsch=).
Dies Wochenende war zum Beispiel richtig schönes Wetter. Waren dann heut im King´s Park, ne riesige Anlage mit botanischen Gärten und wundervollen Ausblicken auf Perth. Bilder kommen auch bald=)
Leider dauert das hochladen der Fotos auch immer etwas lange bei mir, deswegen kommen die immer etwas schleppend. Also habt Geduld=).
Am Strand war ich ja auch endlich mal=), wie ihr sehen könnt. Der ist auch echt schön und auch nah, viellecht 5min zu Fuss, aber leider ist es kein Schwimmstrand. Das ist echt schade, aber der nächste Schwimmstrand ist nur 5min mit dem Auto enfernt=D.
mmhhh, sonst ist eigentlich alles wie immer, jeden Montag Babysitten, noch eine Woche Schule, Kinder sind super lieb und manchmal auch sehr laut und der Versuch, das Haus ordentlich zuhalten, startet jeden Morgen=)

Ach und Papa, alles gute zum australischen Vatertag=)

Jetzt kommen die Fotos :)

Hier sind die heiß ersehnten Fotos aus Australien:).
Sind sogar auch schon recht viele, dachte immer das wären noch recht wenig, aber als ich heut morgen mal in die Kamera geguckt hab, hab ich gemerkt, dass es sich ja schon lohnt:). Also für die ungeduldigen, sorry, dass es so lang gedauert hat.
Meine erste Woche ist ja jetzt auch schon rum und mir geht’s auch immer noch gut und es wird auch immer etwas wärmer. Nur leider regnet es sehr viel immonent.
Schule ist auch in Ordnung und auch sehr locker da eigentlich. Aber leider habe ich erneut das Problem mit dem einschlafen im Unterricht ( hab mich also noch nicht verändert:) ) und das liegt nicht daran, dass ich zu wenig schlafe. Ich geh nämlich immer recht früh schlafen. Musste heut ‘nen Vortrag halten über eine Erfahrung oder etwas anderes persönliches. Hab dann natürlich übers Ferienlager berichtet . Es war nur ein wenig schwer denen den Lager-Koller zu erklären .
Am Wochenende war ich in Perth mit anderen deutschen Au-Pairs. Leider hat’s da auch schon geregnet, aber es war trotzdem sehr witzig. Die meisten kannte ich ja schon von meiner Schule, aber es gibt ja auch noch eine andere Schule in Fremantle.
Ach, gearbeitet hab ich auch schon . Nachdem ich vier Körbe Wäsche gefaltet habe ( ist das schön, dass ich nicht bügeln muss…) hab ich auch schon mit Jemma-Lee , der ältesten von den Kids, gebacken. Wie ihr auf den Fotos sehen könnt, haben wir so etwas wie das weiße, französische Zuckerzeug gemacht ( weiß nicht wie man das schreibt, wie wir die nennen). Hier heißen sie Maringues und sind sehr lecker.
Mein erstes Babysitten hab ich auch schon seit gestern hinter mir und das lief auch echt gut, man muss sie halt nur etwas motivieren. Aber ich bin ja kreativ .
Ich hoffe euch gefallen die Fotos, denn es werden noch mehr folgen, wie z. B. von Kängurus und meiner Schule noch ein Frontfoto und so weiter

Also immer schön gucken kommen und ich versuch, so oft und viel, wie möglich, zu schreiben.
